OCI GoldenGate Service sending Trail Files across Deployments

This article describes OCI GoldenGate Service sending Trailfiles across deployments when the deployments are configured as private Instance. The below example of 2 deployments RDBMS & BIGDATA are created as private instances.

  1. GGS Deployment for RDBMS
  2. GGS Deployment for BIGDATA

Typical Error in Distribution Path if the the deployments are on private instances and not connected using GoldenGate connection.
The network connection could not be established: ‘OGG-10390’ — ‘Generic error -1 noticed for endpoint wss://xxxxxxxxx.deployment.goldengate.us-ashburn-1.oci.oraclecloud.com:443/services/v2/targets?trail=T0. Error description — Host not found: xxxxxxxxx.deployment.goldengate.us-ashburn-1.oci.oraclecloud.com.’
Here are the 2 GoldenGate Deployments

Step 1 : Create a Golden Gate connection.

Select the Target GoldenGate Deployment / Manually enter the target URL
Step 2: Assign the connection to the source deployment

That’s it. Now you should be able to create Distribution Path across OCI Deployments with out the HOST Not found Error. …Hope you found this article useful.
